Minute Book 1st Maryland Infantry CSA Rifle 1858 to 1861 Constitution and Minutes 1st Rifle Regiment 50+ Pages This is a really amazing and historic manuscript book. It is the minute book ofthe 1st Rifle Regiment of Maryland that would eventually become the 1st Maryland Infantry CSA, one of the only group of Maryland men to fight for the Confederate States during the Civil War. The book is all handwritten and includes the handwritten minutes of the all their meetings from 1858 to early 1861 by Epaphrodties Swinney and John Weber, who were the secretaries. It has ledger accounts of dues paid from members and includes 10 pages at the front of the Constitution of the 1st Rifle Regiment. There is so much content about the activity of this regiment during this time right before the Civil War. There is even a page signed by many members of the regiment. It is 50+ pages filled out with great information. The covers are disbound but otherwise the book is in very good condition.
