This pair of lamps is called "Mira" designed by Mario Arnaboldi in 1984 and manufactured by Programmaluce in Milan Italy. It is featured in the books, "Lux Italia 1930-1990" by P. Castiglioni and in Gramigna's "Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000" and Fiell's "1000 lights". The lamp is considered rare for it was only manufactured for one year and then went out of production. It's design is a natural development of lighting from "High-tech" through "Memphis" and was representative of slick/polished design sensibilities of the 1980's and is very desirable in white, specially since this is a pair . The lamps adjust every way possible and need to be tightened. They also need a good cleaning. Minor scratches, just to be as accurate as possible. Both work perfect. The base of each is 5" wide. The first pole is 19" high. Each arm is 25" long. Spectacular mid century modern pair of lamps. Great addition to an Eames era modern home or loft. Very similar lamps designed by Atrteluce and Atremide. High bidder to pay shipping. Money orders or certified cashier's checks are the only forms of payment accepted.
