Offered is the office reference copy bound volume of Centaur publisher Joe Hardie for the following comic books: Amazing Adventure Funnies #1, Amazing Adventure Funnies #2, Comic Pages Vol. 3 # 4, Comic Pages Vol. 3 # 5, Comic Pages Vol. 3 # 6, Cowboy Comics # 13, Cowboy Comics # 14, Detective Eye # 1, Detective Eye # 2, Fantoman # 2, Fantoman # 4, Keen Komics Vol. 2 # 1, Keen Komics Vol. 2 # 2, Keen Komics Vol. 2 # 3, Little Giant Comics # 4, Masked Marvel # 1, Masked Marvel # 2, Super Spy # 1, Super Spy # 2, Wham Comics # 1. These were the personal file copies, bound at the time of publication, of Joe Hardie who along with Fred Gardner created Centaur Comics in early 1938. Hardie often gave a brief introductory statement in his comics and referred to himself as Uncle Joe. Printed on the binding of this volume is J. Hardie. The comics are bound in a hard cover outer binding which is attached to the spines of the comics with an adhesive. Unlike most bound volumes, the edges of these books are untrimmed as they lie uneven within the volume. T are also no punch holes or sewing along the spines. Overall, the comics are in excellent condition. They exhibit their full cover gloss and generally have supple cream pages. This listing contains 20 comic books contained in 1 bound volume. Current Overstreet value for the comics in this volume in Fine condition is $6,312 . Any defects not obvious in the picture other than a minor ding or bend are mentioned. When originally bound in this volume, this book became damaged as a result of being larger than the other issues in this volume. Overall this particular issue is only in fair condition.
