Very nice mission/arts and crafts/gothic style hanging lamp with an amber Hobbs hobnail glass shade. Came from an old brick house in the York,Pa. area that was built in 1918 and could have been original to the house. Fashioned from copper with a gorgeous aged patina. The plate on the bottom is copper plated as a magnet does stick to it. The frame of the light is tightly riveted together and has a porcelain socket so you can use a 100 watt bulb in it if desired. It has been rewired at some point and it does work. The original Hobbs cylindrical glass hobnail amber shade is perfect. This is a rather large old light measuring about 16" tall not including the chain by about a 8 3/4" diameter. Weighs a little over 6 pounds. Thank you for viewing.
