is the long story of this rocker. I bought it at a garage sale years ago as a weatd grey rocker that had been obviously exposed to the elements with no spring seat with the chair. I disassembled it, stripped it, refinished it, and had my upholstery guy make a new spring seat. He built a wood frame, put in the springs, tied them, put in the foam, and attached the new distressed type leather. The back of the top stretcher had buttons w a back cushion had been attached so I also had him make that as well. When I got it, the back seat was too full of fiber stuffing that for my tastes it put me too far forward in the seat so I took out some of the stuffing. In my opinion it looks better with no cushion and sits better as well. Do what you choose with that. I have included pictures of both. I never really did know w I was going to use it so it ended up in storage (Lord knows fixing it and reupholstering it for resale was never going to make sense). In moving it around, it took a spill and the left arm broke off and it took some minor gouges on the front edges of the arms. The break in the left arm was in the rear w it attched to the side. Only a sliver broke off. It has been reattached and the piece if firmly attached. T is a minor variance in the finish w it had to be sanded. I simply waxed over the area.
