T is a slight flaw on the upper left corner. Not really an issue but I thought I'd better mention it. T is no reserve, so have at it. Highest bidder wins. I've come up with a new design at combining "Black Walnut" and "Curly Cherry". They add great contrast to each other and will make a beuatiful entryway or hall mirror. This is a long piece measuring 37" high by 16" wide. After sanding every segment to 150 grit sandpaper I assembled the piece using mortise and tenon joinery. This is a glue joint that was used by Stickley, Limbert, and many other artisans at the turn of the century. If you look at the photos you can see I have given the upper rail some added character by using what is called a thru tenon. It fits perfectly thru the entire stile (vertical piece). The equipment I use is accurate to the thousandth of an inch, literally. If you look at the photo of the thru tenon you will see how tight the fit is. No play whatsoever. This method of joinery is rock solid and will not fail, ever. After the frame is assembled I decided not to stain it and just let the natural grain pop out. All I did was spray it with a gloss polyurathane. Wow, photos do not do this mission style mirror justice. This piece is ready to go in the box and can have it in your house in 5 days after reciept of payment. I guarantee my work, if you are not happy with this piece or any of my work, simply send it back for a no questions asked refund. Minus shipping of course.
