The Mississippi Delta Railroad ( reporting mark MSDR ) is a shortline railroad company operating from Swan Lake to Jonestown, Mississippi , a distance of 60 miles (97 km); the railroad interchanges with the Illinois Central at Swan Lake. Currently the railroad is owned by Coahoma County and was a former subsidiary of Gulf and Ohio Railways shortline group. The current operator is C&J Railroad Company .Primary commodities include corn, cottonseed products, propane, and rubber.An Adlake Kero lantern in good condition. This lantern is marked on the dome ADLAKE KERO RAILROAD. The shoulder (brim) is marked MSDR RR. Lantern is zinc plated. It may have some age discoloration, a few minor manufacturing flaws and may have some very light surface rust in a few spots. The globe is clear and is etched MSDRRR. The fount and burner are Adlake 300. See pictures of lantern & globe for condition. *Heritage lanterns were made by the Adams & Westlake Co. and were marketed under the name of Adlake Kero. Starting around 1965, A&W began making #300 and #400 lanterns for non commercial use. A&W’s idea was to sell these lanterns to railroad clubs, museums, tourist-train operations, historical associations and to give to shippers as promotional items.
