You are viewing a Guaranteed Authentic Indian Artifact from the Mississippian Period Culture Indians. This excellent relic is a real work of Prehistoric art. This beautiful bowl is adorned around a flaring rim with 10 arcade style handles and a Parkin Punctate decoration to the body. As seen in the photos some stress cracks run thru the pot, and have softened its "ring", when lightly tapped.... but this piece is origonal and solid. One of the arcade handles was not recovered, so this one handle has been restored. Not bad for being in the ground approximately 600 years. This beautiful thin walled pot shows evidence of being utilized for cooking with great black deposits both inside and out. Exhibits excellent patina with all the bell's and whistles of a no-brain-er authentic artifact.... GUARANTEED!! Measures approximately 4-1/4" high, and a 4-1/2" opening. Approximate age - 1200 - 1600 ad. Guaranteed Authentic, Guaranteed to paper by any major Authenticator....Wrapped well and double boxed, gets this piece safely shipped anyw!! Thanks for stopping in.... e-mail me with questions or for more photos.... Check out our other artifacts for sale this week... and,... as in most cases, we will consider any fair offers.
