Mixed & Non-Picked Over Wheat Penny Roll w/ Mercury Dime & Indian Head Penny End
This auction is for one (1) roll of Wheat Pennies. The roll you are bidding on has a flipped Mercury Dime on one end and an flipped Indian Head Penny on the other. Please see my pictures. After selling penny rolls on eBay (that I obtained from a general auction) and reading buyers concerns in my feedback and that of others, I came to realize that there were many worn coins in the rolls that were of no use to the collector. I also quickly learned that the number of minted 1940s and 1950s Wheat pennies greatly outnumbered the number of minted teens, 1920s, and 1930s Wheat pennies by at least two to one. As a result, I came up with an idea to purchase unsearched Wheat pennies from the teens, 1920s, and 1930s and mix them together with 1940s and 1950s unsearched coins in the same proportion. Here’s my process. I review the coins I receive from others and remove the worn-out ones. I separate the coins into piles by decade. I roll the coins in each pile and mark them accordingly. I mix together equal rolls of each and start putting them through my roller. I also add in a handful of Mercury Dimes, Indian Head pennies, and American Flying Eagle coins (if I have the latter on hand).
