This item is an interesting piece of automobile history - the Mobil oil "oil can". This vintage can is in very good condition. I only cleaned it up a little bit so as not to disturb the patina. We "inherited" this piece from the previous home owner, an elderly gentleman who kept his own stable of hot-rods and worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a "Yellow Shirt" security guy. I do not have the time-line or history of the can, just know that he collected vintage Mobil products, this being only one of what we have found around the house, found in the attic of the 2nd garage 10 years ago when we purchased the house.
