Kit appears complete (except for one sanding template), all the stripwood, the hull, and the deck are there. The smaller parts are still in the factory container, which I did not open, so they should all be present. The box was written on by a previous owner. One of the sanding templates is missing, but a new one can easily be made from the lines on the plans. Included is an additional manual (the one with the color cover) published by a builder who teaches a class in constructing this kit. This manual clarifies many points in the construction of the kit. I'm only selling this kit as I bought another ship kit that I want to build more, and want this to go to someone who will build it. Phantom, New York Pilot Boat by Model Shipways Solid hull kit • Includes copper hull strips & basswood launching ways! Designed as a pilot schooner by Dennison Lawlor, the Phantom was built in 1868. On March 14, 1886, as New York Pilot Boat #11, she rescued 852 people from the sinking British liner S.S. Oregon off the coast of Long Island. Phantom was lost during the great blizzard of '88, going ashore at Sandy Hook, New Jersey with the total loss of the vessel, boatkeeper, cook and four seamen. Model Shipways Phantom kit features a machine carved solid hull, so you won't have to do any shaping. You'll get wood parts for the cabin and companionways, read more
