by Dr. D. Kenneth Winebrenner Scranton, PA: Laurel Publishers (1953) Seventh Printing, 1964. This is a Very Good+_ clean condition hardcover book in a Good mostly intact jacket. Former owner name and address from the 1960s on the front endpaper and, in pencil, a brief list of needed tools and supplies. Else very clean, no markings, damage, stains, or odor or mold--a great copy. Just some loss the the top edge of the jacket on the spine and rear panel. The jacket is archivally protected with a fresh mylar sleeve. Hundreds of photographs and drawings of an incredibly wide range of modernisitic jewelry made by top designers and accomplished students, representing the best designers of the latter half 20th century. This is an encyclopedic presentation, the BEST reference guide to mid-century copper and silver imaginable. Long unavailable and very scarce! Daniel Kenneth Winebrenner (1908-1975) was on the faculty at SUNY Buffalo, was a renowned art critic & curator, & a popular guest instructor at Columbia University. He is also one of the founders of the Burchfield-Penney Art Center in Buffalo. He has instructed thousands in the craft including many of the biggest names from the mid-century onward.
