MO�T et CHANDON - FAIENCE de GIEN - MAJOLICA ASHTRAY - "Abbaye d'Hautvillers" Description: A pottery ashtray with high glazed bright green majolica glaze. The centre of the item has a moulded image of the 'Abbaye d'Hautvillers'. Around the rim it has "Mo�t et Chandon" with "Maison fondee en 1743" in the glaze below it. On the opposite side it has a moulded crown and banner. It is stamped to the base: "Au Vase Etrusque Paris", "Faience de Gien". Condition / Defects: The ashtray is in very good condition; free from chips, cracks and restoration. It has a few very light scratches in the glaze m- consistent with age and use.
