Mohawk Trail w/Log Cabin Large Vintage QuiltGood friends are like quilts - they age with you, and yet, they never lose their warmth. Take good care of them.I absolutely fell in love with this pattern. It's a combination of The Mohawk Trail & a Log Cabin pattern ~ made with 100% cotton fabrics... a rich dark forest green on green floral print for the border (I had to really lighten the last picture so you could see the green print. It is a dark forest green), a navy with a tiny red print, red & beige & a beige with green print pieced to one another as well as a solid white. The quilt is a large one measuring 105" x 90" so it will cover any size bed you have with room to spare on all four sides. It's in very good condition but I found some light bleeds which is odd because I can tell the quilt has never been laundered & there are no bleeds on the white backing. I think a few that look like bleeds are actually not, just the darker red or green fabric underneath showing through the white. There are no rips, tears or holes, no fraying.Very nice hand quilting ~ straight lines in the border, all of the pieces making up the fans of the Mohawk Trail have been quilted around the inside in like shape, and the log cabin blocks have been quilted in the ditch.... just a little outside so that you can see the nice quilting. I can picture this pretty quilt on a big 4 poster bed, in a lodge or a home with a primitive or country setting!Please take a look at the other quilts & quilt tops that I have listed.
