You are bidding on an antique Wall Crank Telephone made by Monarch Telephone Manufacturing Company, Chicago , Illinois , information printed on a metal plate on the front of the telephone. This item is very old and is in excellent condition for its age. The crank on the side of the phone still rings the bells. What appears to be the original cardboard inspection label affixed on the inside of the telephone is numbered 415.15. Imprinted in the wood on the inside of the telephone is the patent dated April 4, 1899. The number on the brass mounting around the mouthpiece is L51100. Both the external and internal mechanisms and parts are original and the internal mechanism appears to be complete. The wood is solid oak and has no cracks or splits. The hinges appear to be original and are solidly mounted. The cord from the phone to the earpiece is somewhat frayed and the collar that screws on the end of the earpiece is gone. The phone weighs about 25 pounds. We have had the phone for over 40 years, but are moving. If you need any additional information or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. All sales are final. We recommend insurance on shipping. Buyer pays shipping.
