Monkey Figurine Holding a Bowl On His Head

Sold For:

Sold Date: 03/14/2008
Channel: Online Auction
Source: eBay

This auction is for a monkey figurine holding a bowl over his head.
It is used but in good condition
It is about 9 1/2" tall.
The bowl is about 4 1/2" across.
The monkey is black with gold highlights, the bowl is gold color on the inside.
I think it is made of some type of "slip"
Slip in a ceramic context is made by mixing clays and other minerals with water and usually a deflocculant such as sodium silicate. The addition of a defloculant allows the water content to be kept to a minimum which reduces the amount of shrinkage when slipcasting. The mixing can be by hand or more usually in a blunger.(Copied from Wikipedia)

Most of the items I list come from auctions, yard/garage sales, thrift stores and such. I do some cleaning on items before I list them, but I don't know what lingering odors might be still on the item. If you are allergic to smoke, pet or, musty odors, then you should take this into consideration before bidding. I cannot guarantee that any item has come from a smoke-free/pet-free home!
