On offer is this monstrous sized(612 Gm, 17.5 x 8.7x 5.5cm) cigarettes or jewellery box in excellent condition. Inlaid with sandalwood in pristine condition, usual bakelite base. It has been well looked after so in spite of old vintage it has a few only, barely visible bruise marks which I do point it out here only for the sake of accuracy. A gift fit for a prince, especially so as it does sport the much valued set of Chester Hallmarks, never to be repeated alas as this Assay Office is now closed. Further piquancy is added by the masonic inscription which says: "W.Bro: Frank Stewart Copeman, from his initiates in the first year of The Lodge of Welcome. 1937-38" My, this Frank must have been a big shot in that demi-monde to warrant such an expensive gift! An opportunity to acquire a rare and constanty rising in value solid sterling cased piece of history.
