Near MINT Condition Vintage (1960-ies) Authentic Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 Fountain Pen in flawless black precious resin with Great Medium Nib. This is the largest pen in the Meisterstuck collection (bigger than 144, 145, 146 and 147). It is piston filler with a clear window indicating the ink level. The white "snow cap" star crowned cap screws on. It also stays securely posted when you write. Dual tone 18C (750) Yellow Gold & Platinum (Rhodium plating) nib. The nib is Medium. The clip says "Germany"; no serial number (pre 1991 piece). No model number on the turning knob. The Medium nib (remarkable hand tooled engraving) and the feed ( Hard Rubber with classic 1960'ies lines along the center ) are in Near MINT condition and are exceptionally clean. This pen is in Near MINT Condition : every part of it is truly beautiful and fully functional. The piston turns smoothly. T are some light superficial scratches on the pen body: absolutely nothing major. It has been carried and used very carefully.. The piston threads are black resin (please see the fifth picture). All that said, this pen is practically identical to the 1950'ies version of 149 FP (the 149 'Holy Grail' :) that sells for $1200-$1600). The only thing that is different on the 50'ies 149 is the telescopic metal piston and the silver bands on the cap. Comes in Box with papers. I absolutely guarantee the pen's authenticity and condition. I will gladly declare the item as a personal gift for customs purposes. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions. Sorry, the shipping is a bit high but those amounts include insurance. Happy Bidding! Cheers, Maite
