MONTBLANC OUT OF PRODUCTION "ROUGE ET NOIR" BALLPOINT PEN
IN MINT CONDITION WITH ORGINAL BOX AND PAPERWORK Released in June 2000 this pen was recalled shortly tafter due to a trademark infringement for the mark 'et Noir'. This pen would later be re-released under the new name designation of 'Boheme' which is currently available today. The noticeable difference between the 'et Noir' model and the 'Boheme' model is the single-solid band, situated on the lower part of the barrel stating it as the 'Rouge et Noir' model. The current 'Boheme' model displays one large band flanked on each side by a smaller, pin-striped sized band. Less than 5,000 of the et Noir pens were sold before being recalled - in essence, making them more collectible than the limited edition pens. This pen having been mistakenly introduced into the market will increase its value and it is definitely a valuable piece to collect. The pen is approx. 4 1/2" (10 1/2 cm) in length, black body with silver accents. I originally bought this pen for my wife to use but she was afraid of losing it so it was put away with the rest of my collection and has gone unused. The sticker noting "Made in Germany" is still on the barrel. Any questions please contact me and I will be happy to reply. Buyer pays all shipping costs.
