Incredible 1880s silverplate (silver plate) Pairpoint epergne or centerpiece with Mount Washington Burmese Bowls. Pairpoint mark on silverplate base. Look at the detail. It has 2 cherubs or putti riding snapping turtles on the base. The top has a winged nymph holding the candle holder. The piece has a monogrammed name on the base. The piece is in very good condition for its age. T is probably about 98% of the original silver plating still present. One foot on the nymph candle holder has an old hard to find repair. The nymph is at an angle but I suggest having a silversmith bend it slightly back in place. The bowls are original. One bowl has the pink on the outside of the bowl and the other has the pink on the inside of the Burmese bowl. This is pretty typical and the bowls are guaranteed original. It is very hard to judge the size in the pictures. It is huge. Each Burmese bowl is over 9" in diameter. The total piece is about 21" long, and about 18 1/2" tall. These pieces do not come on the market very often. More pictures to be added soon. .
