Fresh from a local estate, I am told this monumental Barovier Murano art glass vase was originally purchased during the 1940's and has only had 1 owner. These pictures just do not do justice to either this stunning glass or the tremendous size of this lamp. Pictures were taken both inside and out to deomonstrate just how this glass shows in different light. Large Ribbed Teardrop shaped glass body has a thick clear outer layer of glass with an Inside Violet blue at the top Shading down to the bottom white blue opalescence. The effect is Just stunning. Lamp measures a tremendous 40 inches tall and 9" across the base. The last picture listed shows just how small my hand is compared to just the Star cut base of Lamp. The glass body alone measures 23 and 1/2" tall and about 5-1/2" at its widest. When Light hits this glass, it glows from within. Very romantic colors in large Hollywood gLam style. Truly a spectacular piece of vintage Barovier art glass, quite possibly Marbro. Glass is in Excellant condition...Old carved Mahogany base has some wear as you might expect. but is nothing a good coat of almond oil won't cure.. Original cord in good working order, but I always recommend that you have the cord checked or replaced.
