Monumental Antique Royal Bonn Floral Mantle Vase 16" This is a monumental antique Royal Bonn floral mantle vase that came from a fine old Northern Kentucky mansion estate sale. The beautiful floral decoration, and the outstanding gilt work on the handles is quite nice. This antique German vase measures approximately 16'' in height, while the diameter from the gold handles on the top measures about 7.5''. The mantle vase is marked on the base: Rust color crown mark with "AM" (Anton Mehlem), Bonn, Germany, 3080/3, 62., Dec 3574, Impressed #67 9. This antique vase has crazing throughout, and several areas of gold loss that are surely commensurate with the age (Gold loss is mainly on the lower handles and top edge of the rim). Also, the rim edge on the top of the vase has a small .25'' chip/flake, and t is a .5'' chip on the rim of the base as well. So be aware that this antique German vase is not perfect, however certainly worthy of a professional restoration. Quite a sharp find for the serious "Bonn" collector, looking to add that large difficult to find piece to their cherished collection of fine quality German porcelain.
