English, late 19th century, by Copeland, of `stone china` in the `Gadroon` shape. Includes a mammoth turkey platter with Imari-style rim decoration of cobalt, iron red and ochre and central decoration of a large tom turkey; 26` x 20`. Included are twelve coordinating 10` game bird plates with similar rim decoration including two with woodcock, two with bantam hens and rooster, and one each of hen with chicks, pheasants, partridge and chicks, a dead wild turkey, mallard ducks, two types of quail, and an crested grebe. All pieces marked with brown underglaze Copeland Late Spode `boat` mark in use from 1895-1910 and impressed Copeland oval mark; plates are marked with hand painted red pattern number 4669; platter has additional impressed A/99 and 24 in on underside.
