With that in mind...this is a beautiful...hand painted Oriental/Asian "Moon Vase" that stands 19 inches tall and is 14 inches wide. Needless to say...this is a LARGE piece! You can see in one of the pictures that this vase is marked on the bottom. Typically, on most of our listings, I am very descriptive with our items we're listing. My wife often says to me that I'm just a couple of lines away from writing an epic novel! However, when does come to some items, she's right! It is better off to let the pictures do the talking for us instead of us trying to drag out some long description that waste your time! This "Moon Vase" happens to be one of those items! Hopefully with all of the pictures we've provided you can decide on your own if this item is something you'd want as part of your collection or not without us trying to "sell" you on the piece! I can tell you a few things to help you make that decision though. It is in great shape & condition! You "might" find a little "flaw" here and there on it but unless you're really "eyeballing" the vase and looking for a "flaw"...you'd probably never notice it....I can't find a thing wrong with this vase...honestly!! We believe the entire piece to be hand painted! In certain areas you can feel where the coloring is "raised" off the vase and is not flat or smooth. The other reason we feel strongly that it is entirely painted is that even though the front/back & side/side are identical looking in the pictures...when you look closely at the vase you notice slight differences here and there where it doesn't match to the other side!! One "area" on one side has 5 "smooches" with paint...look at the other side...it only has 4. If you look at a particular "figure" on the front...they look "slightly" different on the back. There are little things that if you're the winning bidder you'll see what I'm talking about. It would be very difficult for you to see it in the pictures you more or less have to be holding the vase in your hands flipping it side to side...back to front to see the differences! The coloring you see in the pictures is exactly how the piece looks in person...vivid and beautiful!! Actually...I think the vase looks better in person not that the pictures don't look bad but if you're the winning bidder of this item you'll can see for yourself. If you're a collector of these types of items or collect items from this "culture", this "MOON VASE" would make a great addition for your collection!
