This item is a Moorcroft pottery compote from England. I was told it is in the Anemones pattern. I am not sure of that and will let you be the judge. It measures 6-3/4" in diameter and stands 4" high. I have photographed the marks on the bottom for your perusal. I am not sure if the green slash type marks mean it is a second. Someone told me they did not sell "seconds" , so again I will leave this to your expertise in this pottery. T are no chips on this compote. T is all over generalized crazing which I think is typical of this pottery. T are 3 large blooms in center of bowl and one smaller bloom. One is very noticably darker than all the rest, and one is less dark than it. T is an area of about 2" in the back upper side of the compote w t is a slightly darker line than the rest of the crazing. It is about 1/2" down from the top. If I put my fingernail against it I can feel it. If this is a crack, it does not penetrate to the other side and really does not look bad. I have tried to photograph this area for you. On the bottom it says Moorcroft in a blue color. The Made in England mark is also blue. The other marks mentioned are in green. All in all, still an attractive piece for a Moorcroft collector and a good price! Good Luck.
