The 'Caribbean' pattern is a scarce Moorcroft Pottery patternand was designed by Walter Moorcroft. It was only produced as a special commission for a short period from circa 1958 for a store in Bermuda. This vase is decorated with the Caribbean island scene with three palm trees, two red sail yachts, distant islands plus the sea and sky, in tones of blues and greens. The base is marked with the Moorcroft and Made in England impressed marks. Unfortunately there is a hairline (see photo) but there are no other chips, cracks or restoration. There is an overall crazing to the glaze which is perfectly normal for these vintage pieces. It stands 13cm tall and 9cm in diameter. An opportunity to buy a rare & unusual piece for your collection.
