RARE MOORCROFT HIBISCUS OAK FRAMED PLAQUE

This is a rare little plaque from Moorcoft in the blue ground Hibiscus pattern dating from around 1960/1970. It was originally a ginger jar lid which has had a professionally created oak frame and an added brass hook for hanging as you can see. The ceramic measures just under 3.5 inches in diameter, 5.5 inches including the frame and, apart from the odd tiny scratch and just a hint of age crazing on the floral decoration, it is in excellent condition free from chips, cracks or restoration.
