A pink morganite crystal with minor lepidolite mica. From the Tourmaline King mine, Tourmaline Queen mountain, Pala, San Diego county, California

Found on the dumps of the mine in the 1990's. This is a fine example of gem morganite from the Tourmaline King mine.

Not many of these on the market today.

In the early 1900's the King mine was one of the largest producers of gem tourmaline in the Pala area . T is a current effort to reopen the King for future production.
