Mormon Church President Wilford Woodruff Letter Signed. One page on The First Presidency letterhead, co-signed and likely penned by Emma Woodruff, 8.25" x 11", Salt Lake City, February 16, 1862, to A. O. Smoot, Provo, Utah. The letter reads: "I write to say, that I am expecting the company of the apostles and some few other friends on the first day of March, my 80th birthday, and Emma's 54th birth day; and I would like to have you and your wife with us on that occasion. We shall have supper early in the evening. Expect to have my house dedicated at that time. Our respects to you and your family". Light fold lines, else very fine condition. Emma Woodruff, daughter of Provo churchman Abraham O. Smoot, was Woodruff's third wife and his public consort in old age. Grade: 0, Service No.: 0
