Small collection of eight locals from Morocco with the inscription "Fez-Mequinez". They do not have gum. The 25 centime has a corner missing. They are not listed in Scott, but I was able to find this information on the web from the "Encylopedia of Stamps".A Moroccan local post which was set up in February 1897 by Messod Bensimon, the former head of the Jewish school at Fez. The service ran twice a week between the British post office at Tangier and Fez. Bensimon issued eight stamps in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 50 centimes along with a 1 franc value, each of which were printed in two colours. The design of these stamps showed the head of a Moroccan with the posts name and the value below and they were perforated gauge 11½ or 14½. Shipping weight is 1 ounces. Shipment in the U.S. for 45 cents, to Canada for 65 cents and worldwide for $1.05. I use postage for shipment and only charge exact shipping costs. I accept The only tracking available on an item of this size and weight is by Registered Mail, and that would cost an additional $11.75 if you desire it.
