MOSAIC ART GLASS LEADED SHADE LAMP CEILING LIGHT 1910S EARLY 20TH C FLORAL ART NOUVEAU FABULOUS VIVID COLORS This is one of those incredible, heavy and well designed early 20th century hanging light fixtures...with gorgeous leaded glass in a most pleasing combination of strong and vibrant glass to represent flowers, leaves or foliage, as well as the vines in the form of the lead...which was probably made by one of the major players of the time. Of course, Tiffany was one of the first and certainly one of the most famous...t were other high quality makers of the day such as Duffner & Kimberley Company, Mosaic Lamp Company, Chicago, Suess Ornamental Glass Company, and Cincinnati Iron Works & Leaded Glass. This may be an unsigned lamp made by one of the leaders...apparently, many to most of the old leaded glass shades were not signed while the bases were signed. These makers were also interested in the manufacture of the floral shades in a natural design which was one of the hallmarks of L.C Tiffany's lamps. At some point, Kimberley of Duffner and Kimberley worked for Tiffany. This company was in operation for only 5 years from 1906 until 1911.No matter the maker, this mosaic glass shade is a work of art...with a high caliber of workmanship and design. This shade is brilliant whether lit or unlit...and this is simply based on the sunlight filtering through from the outside in as shown below. T is one small missing piece of glass as shown below. The light is a 3 cluster light fixture. Although it was removed as a working fixture, one might consider having this fixture rewired prior to hanging. Now is a plethora of close up photos to show the condition , pattern and structure of this mosaic leaded glass lamp. Measurements are as follows: Height = 15 1/2" Diameter at the widest = 24" This lamp weighs twenty pounds although it feels heavier! This is a great opportunity for this incredibly well designed and executed mosaic art glass light! This lamp will be packed safely and shipped via UPS ground...unless shipped internationally.
