This listing is for a GORGEOUS cranberry Moser Art Glass compote measuring 8 1/2" high, a top diameter of 5 1/2" and a base diameter of 4 3/8". This wonderful compote is white opaque glass cased over cranberry glass, beautifully cut with panels which alternate between stunning hand-painted florals and panels with filagree gilt decoration and a very unusual upper edge. This is one of the nicest Bohemian cranberry cased pieces from the 1880-1900 period that you will find. It definitely is of Moser quality although I haven't found a signature.
This fabulous Art Glass compote is in excellent condition with all the elaborate baroque gilded decoration intact. Usually on pieces with this age, the gilded background decoration is either worn or nearly missing, however, on this piece it is in wonderful condition. T is some minor wear to the gilded band lower edge and at the knob at the top of the stem otherwise the piece is near mint. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. I have had this piece displayed in my home for the past ten years and know it will become a favorite for you also.
