The motto of the Order is Imperatricis auspiciis, (Latin for "Under the auspices of the Empress"), a reference to Victoria , the first Empress of India, which is written around the profile of Queen Victoria in center. This piece is 18k gold in fine condition, with minor wear to enamel on crown. It is in original C.I.E. fitted box, and was created by Garrard & Co. by order of his Majesty.
