She is titled “Bien Etre” or “Well Being” and signed by Wagner. Moving to the piece, regarding “Well Being”: “The plaque, called Bien Entre, or To Be Good, depicts a beautiful young woman dressed in a rich green silk Japanese kimono. She leans against the wall, her hands raised behind her head, and looks invitingly upon the spectator; her pose displays a look of knowing seduction. Her rich green kimono is lined with red and rendered so finely that there cannot be any doubt as to its texture. This plaque is not common, but can occasionally be seen painted on porcelain plaques”. As for Wagner, “The name Wagner is very widespread, it does not pertain to a single artist; the Wagner family’s manufactory in Vienna many different painters from the family would sign the name “Wagner” to their plaques.
