MOTHER TERESA ( born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on August 27 , 1910 - died September 5 , 1997 at age 87 ), was a Roman Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. For over forty years, she ministered to the needs of the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying in Calcutta . Following her death she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

In 1979, MOTHER TERESA was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize , for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress. When MOTHER TERESA received the prize, she was asked, "What can we do to promote world peace?" Her answer was "Go home and love your family."

You are bidding on an authentic hand signed black and white (no photo copy or print) MOTHER TERESA prayer card. This card is approximately 51/2" long x 31/2" wide " and is paper. T is a small worn spot on the back. On this card it has a printed prayer LOVE TO PRAY and inscribed " God bless you lee Teresa me" as shown in the picture. This card was obtained shortly after MOTHER TERESA won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and has been in our family bible ever since. MOTHER TERESA will surely become a Saint one day.
