A superb image, made from the original negative, of L uciano Gazzola , racing a Mo to Guzzi V7 Sport (bike with number 7); and Mimmo Cazzaniga (bike with number 4) on a BMW R 90S, during the prestigious 1 st Trofeo “ La Mo to 1000” race, which was held on the circuit of Misano on the 2 nd of June 1975 . Shown is the main testrider of the Mo to Guzzi L e Mans and V7 Sport models, L uciano Gazzola. He finished the race in 6 th position, behind future world champion GP riders like Virginio Ferrari and Marco L ucchinelli. Interestingly, Gazzola’s racing V7 Sport had a capacity of 850cc for this race. Guzzi was at that time also busy in the final stages of the development of the 850cc L e Mans production model, which was introduced at the end of 1975. Also shown is Mimmo Cazzaniga, finishing an excellent 4 th on his BMW R90S, which was tuned by the talented Silvano Bertarelli.
