A relatively simple but rare French tellurium sold as is. The tellurium doesn't function. The tellurium is constructed of a steel base which can be filled with pebbles or sand and support a 'sp' with a light representing the sun. The wooden support at the earth side is to keep the tellurium from tipping over just for the photo because I haven't filled it with pebbles. From the base a steel arm extends with the earth at the end. The earth is tin plated and approx. 10cm. The moon is orange. Everything is set in motion by turning the arm with the wooden handle at the sun-side. Doing so causes the earth to circle the sun, circle around its own axis and turn towards and from the sun according to the seasons. This model can be used to explain the seasons, day and night, phases of the moon, solar eclipse, lunar eclipse etc. It's age is about 1950. The tellurium is motorized, but I have no idea how it works. It is sold as-is and I think it is a nice object for somebody with two right hands. The tellurium is sold as-is. Low reserve. Please also look at my other items. Good luck with bidding Shipping costs to the US are 75 USD
