You are bidding on a Motorola Model VT-73 portable case round screen TV from the late 1940's. My original plan was to list just the picture tube, a 7JP4 by RCA, as it has a good filament, but the chassis is clean, so I'm listing it as a unit. It appears to be complete, and untouched until I removed the picture tube for the photos and to check out the melted rubber spacer around the tube. The spacer has melted from the hot Oklahoma summers and stuck to the tube and also some to the screen on the inside of the cabinet, hurting the aesthetics of the set. It will chip off w hard and cut off w soft. I decided not to take the time to do this, so that you can. (It may be easier to dissolve with a solvent). I did not plug the set in, but it appears to be complete with no significant modifications, except that originally t was a cover over the front, that may have held the plug-in antenna. It is clean and has the back and knobs, so I believe it is worthy of restoration. Shipping weight is 38 pounds, no packing fees. Please see my other auctions for additional interesting audio and radio items.
