This auction is NO RESERVE and a nominal start for a Square Centerpiece Bowl by the uber-talented team of Mottahedeh and Vista Alegre in their gorgeous Lowestoft Rose pattern, widely regarded as one of the best things they ever did. An estate piece from a very good Dallas moving sale and completely fresh to market. MARKS: Well-marked with the full Vista Alegre marks and the Mottahedeh marks as shown and guaranteed authentic. AGE: ca. 1990, about 18 years old. CONDITION: Unfortunately, NOT perfect. T is one small chip on the outside of the rim as shown in pics #4 and #5. Not really noticeable unless viewed head-on, but it *is* t and it *does* detract and please bid accordingly. Otherwise, no chips, cracks, food stains, discolorations, hairlines, fleabites, repairs, etc. NO wear to the design or the gilding (except for the chip as noted). I include honest pics taken in strong light and the pics are very honest and show the condition well and you won't be disappointed. SIZE: About 9.25"x9.25" and 3" deep. It would be considered a large piece. NO RESERVE and a nominal start and the pics tell the rest of the story. Lowestoft Rose was made for only 8 years and it has been discontinued for 15 years and a single dinner plate in good condition typically fetches in the range of $150 per each in the secondary market.
