8" x 10" black and white glossy from Paramount Artcraft Special, "The Miracle Man", 1919. This black and white silent film was shot in 8 reels, but is considered a lost film, only two fragments exist. It is based on a 1914 play by George Cohan, which was based on a novel by Frank L. Packard. It was directed by George Loane Tucker and starred Thomas Meighan, Betty Compson and Lon Chaney, who established himself as a character actor of great accomplishments. The story is a faith healing scheme in a small New England town. This picture shows Thomas Meighan and Betty Compson, both of whom gained stardom from this film.The photo has a black border , otherwise in excellent condition. This material is from the reference library of Lorence Bjorklund, famous western art illustrator from the 1930 - 1940 era. Because of his great effort to create authentic period illustration, his library is filled with period photos, catalogs and period journals. We ship internationally.
