Mr Fancy Cancel Unused Civil War Patriotic C-F-14 A/B Very fine unused Civil War Patriotic Cover - Weiss Value Factor A/BFK These fascinating unused Civil War Patriotic Covers from the Civil War have increased in value and popularity tremendously in the last few years, in part due to the publication of The Catalog of Civil War Patriotic Covers by William R Weiss noted postal history dealer, auctioneer and expert. This beautiful, large catalog is available from my eBay store at $110 + $5 shipping.There is a VALUE GUIDE separate from the book for UNUSED covers. This was done in 1997 and was quite conservative at the time . In my experience and from discussions with Bill Weiss - in the last 10 years the values have moved up considerably. Covers that in 1997 might sell for $50, now will sell for $100 or $200 - depending on the subject and condition. The table below reflects the prices that Bill would place on these about 10 years later.
