LEGENDARY AMERICAN FLIER AMELIA EARHART & MISS MELBA BEARD Folks, it is with some pride that I present the COVER photos of woman pilots, Amelia Earhart with the winner of the Earhart Trophy Race, Miss Melba Beard, 22 year-old from California, receiving her award from the donor, Amelia Earhart after defeating seven other women fliers in the twenty-five-mile contest at the national air races in Cleveland, indexing their name and their feats and accomplishments as cited and saved from an old American Pictorial magazine. Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the history of our ancestors. During my research, I discovered that hundreds of our important memorabilia lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because old American women pilots memorabilia were printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell. This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost. I hope you appreciate the effort. There were many pictorials published – the common ones are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones like this one covering great women pilots of our time never make it. They are hard to find. Collectors treasure them. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest. Here’s one of the best.
