MSA MARBLES IDEAL HUNTING KNIFE MSA, MARBLES, GLADSTONE, MICH, c. 1905-1910 10 ¼” IDEAL HUNTING KNIFE (Second Model), 5 ¾” saber ground clip blade, with large fullers on both sides, with pronounced false edge on the clip. The blade is a little less than full, with evidence of use, some scratches and some patina, but no pitting. Some original polish remaining. Half brass guard. Leather washer swell center handle, with red and black fiber and brass spacers, with mushroom shaped stag pommel, with countersunk brass nut. A fine, nearly mint original tube leather sheath. KNIFE CONDITION INFORMATION We rate the condition of our knives on the following scale. PRISTINE: Knife is mint. In addition, it sells itself in a powerful way. MINT: Knife is the same as it was when it was produced. May have a minor crack in a handle, or a freckle on the blade, but absolutely no evidence of use or sharpening. NEAR MINT: Knife is nearly mint. Any deviation from mint is minor. If the knife has been expertly cleaned, it must appear as mint, full blades, no evidence of sharpening or use. EXCELLENT: Knife is in excellent condition. Handles are in fine shape. Blades snap strong. Blades show only slight wear, or discoloration. Unless otherwise stated blades and handles are original. VERY GOOD: Knife is in very good condition. Blades may show up to 10% wear. Blades are original (unless otherwise stated), but may not snap. Handles are original (unless otherwise stated) but may show damage. Blades or back springs may be pitted.
