Mt. Washington Signed Crown Milano Vase w/Shell Handles Description - This is a wonderful Signed Crown Milano vase. The decoration consists of all-over pink and white Peonies against a beige background with elaborate gold scrolls on the two applied "shell" handles. Fancy scrolls around the neck. A beautiful decoration. Brookside Antiques, long renowned as a leader in selling fine 19th Century American Art Glass, shows on their website what appears to be this exact piece, but their piece has some restoration. They imply that the price for the piece, if perfect, would be about $1800. I'm starting my perfect piece at $895. Have fun! Size - 9" tall by about 3 3/8" in diameter through the fat part of the vase. The opening is not quite 2" in diameter and the foot is a little over 2 1/4" in diameter. Estimated 4 pounds packed weight for shipping. Condition - Excellent, excellent! T appears to be absolutely no loss to any of the raised gold decoration. T appears to be no wear to any of the painted decoration, including the gold painted decoration. The glass is perfect, without nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. T are some very tiny marks at the rear of the vase, in the fat part near the base. These are the kind of marks that are made by contact.
