Engine No.4689.3-Rail Contemporary with Proto-Sound 2.0, Item No. 10-1126-1, Car Nos. see above Product Number: 10-1126-0 M.S.R.P. $ 2795.00 Millenium lovers will find this special version of one of the most stunning Standard Gauge locomotive sets to ever grace a 3-rail pike particularly attractive. Featuring a twelve wheel electric locomotive and four matching passenger cars, the original American Flyer® set was handsomely painted in a two-tone Rolls Royce blue paint scheme. The train was name The Presidents Special and radiated a richness of color and boasted an array of solid brass and polished nickel trim that could not be found in any other toy train of its time. This extremely limited version of the Presidents Special has been included in M.T.H.s Millennium offerings with a commemorative update of the classic looks and colors of the original Presidents Special Set. As with the original, the set features an 19 1/2 inch long locomotive modeled after the New York Centrals P2 Box Cab Electric and features a big American Eagle on its front porch. The four matching passengercars, each measuring 21 inches long, utilize a total of 12 interior lamps and feature brightly polished platinum plating on their six-wheel trucks. The Rolls Royce blue paint found on the original President's Special has been replaced with 18K gold plating resulting in a truly stunning standard gauge creation worthy of the Millennium Celebration.
