Very easy to remove your MTL plastic wheels from their trucks on your cars and add the steel wheels for a more real to life look and sound on the track and can pull so many more cars in your train as they roll so much better. I have some great news for you! Up for auction is Uncle Wills "Full Throttle" NEW Z Scale Wheelset that is compatible with Bowser and FT trucks as well as with Micro-Trains Line trucks. These are great for towing long trains as their performance was impeccable! They didn't pick up dirt, and their metal composition made them glide over trackage much more smoothly than the plastic wheels. With these the wheels the sound of metal wheels on metal tracks is very pleasing to the ear and mocks the prototype tenor with so real to life sound. These new wheels have some improvement to Z Scale wheels by adding in a Fillet between the flange and wheel tread as this acts to self-center the wheelset within the track. Those who have run Full Throttle cars equipped with Bowser Bucklers can attest to their efficiency and are often able to tow twice as many cars using these fine new wheelsets. Of course, the biggest change was to shorten the axle length. With these new wheelsets t is more room to navigate small radius track and also provides allowances for hand-laid track. Being metal, t is, naturally, an insulated wheel, and the weight lowers the center of gravity for Z Scale cars. The wheelsets come packaged in the familiar factory "Full Throttle" clear plastic cases and will be shipped in these cases which will be handy for Z Scale parts for storage.
