A good, Indian lacquer box, with two inner compartments. Decorated, "en grisaille", in Mughal style with a central figure (Mughal emperor?) with attendants to either side. Black lacquer base and interior. Probably dating to the late 19th or early 20th Century. Measuring 9" long, 3.5" wide and 1.75" high. Some losses to the lacquer, mainly the edge of the base and minor losses on the lid, but generally in good condition.
