EARLY 20TH CENTURY OLD MULTIPLE RELIQUARY WITH ENAMEL PLAQUE OF ST.CLARE OF ASSISI Original old early 20th century French Reliquary with several relics. Wood frame with "paperolles" work and small pearls, in the center an enamel plaque, surrounded by pearls and paperolles, representing St. Clare of Assise with other sisters from her congregation showing the Monstrance to their attackers. Below the enamel in the center 2 relics: "Ste Claire d'As." and another one which seems to be St. Colette but I cannot say for sure since I am not able to decipher it properly On the left 4 relics: "St Jean Bapt.", "St Emile, M.", "St Franç. d'As.", "Ste Denise V.M." (St. John The Baptist, St.Emile Martyr, St. Francis of Assise, St. Denise Virgin Martyr) On the right 4 relics: "St Jacques, Ap.", "St Charles Bor.", "B.Vianney", "Ste Constance V.M." (St. James Apostle, St. Charles Borromeu, Blessed Vianney -St.John Mary Vianney was beatified in 1905 but canonized only in 1925, St. Constance Virgin Martyr) The reliquary has a wax seal depicting St. Claire but the threads are no longer t It is in very good condition with 2 or 3 small pearls loose inside the frame.
