Large lot of stamps from Romania from multiple collections in a box. Six different collections on album pages, other misc album pages and sales sheets, loose stamps in glassines and baggies and covers. Over 5500 mounted stamps and at least that many or more loose stamps both mint, used and CTO. With this many different collections combined, you will find many duplicates and common stamps. However, there are also many early issues from the 1950's and before and many that will need to be checked for watermarks. The strength in most of these six collections is in their earlier issues. 1) Collection mounted on Scott International pages 1862-1994 with ~1700 stamps. Nice group of early issues. Very neat and clean throughout. Pages are in excellent condition with glassine interleaves. No writing, tears with stamps neatly mounted. Pages form a stack over two inches tall. Great set of pages to build a collection on. 2) Collection mounted on Scott Internatiional pages 1862-1984 with ~1300 stamps. Also a good set of early issues with lots of stamps. The pages of this collection have picked up some moisture starting around 1980. The bottom of a few pages show some discoloration and other pages have some wrinkling. For the most part, very few stamps were affected. Glassine interleaves. 3) Collection mounted on Minkus album pages 1862-1965 with ~1000 stamps. Pages are older and faded with some discoloration appearing from some of the older Polish stamps. I think the paper content of the stamps was the culprit. 4) Collection mounted on old Scott pages 1862-1940 with ~100 stamps. Neat and clearn, but obviously very limited in scope. 5) Collection mounted on H.E. Harris album pages 1922-1977 with ~900 stamps. This has lots of duplicate stamps mounted one under the other that were not counted in the totals. Not much early stuff in this collection. 6) Collection mounted on Kenmore pages with no dates given with ~400 stamps. Mostly more common and CTO issues. 7) Group of odd misc album pages, home made pages and sales sheets with ~450 stamps with many decades represented. 8) Six ounce bag of stamps on paper. Many different decades and at least most of these should be postally used. 9) Twelve ounce bag of stamps that I believe are almost all CTO issues. Probably great for topical collectors, and filling album pages, but you won't find any high value stamps amoung them. 10) Stack of a couple hundred glassines and envelopes. Some sorted with Scott numbers others just tossed together.Many of the glassines only hold single stamps, some 20 or 30. 11) Pile of a hundred mint stamps or so that are either MNH, MH or MNG. Old and new issues represented. Quite a few fiscal or revenue issues in multiples. 12) Few hundred used stamps off paper that I sorted all the CTO's out of. The majority of these used stamps are older with duplication. 13) A half dozen older covers and cards in fairly good condition. One card in particular looks pretty old. I have only scanned in a small portion of the pages of stamps here. Should be a very useful lot for the collector in this area. The shipping weight is thirteen pounds. I will ship by Parcel Post in the U.S.. To Canada the lot would go by Priority Mail for $43.75.
