All the accessories of her costume were tailored and dyed before assembly by hand. Her dress is trimmed with Calais lace. All the pearl work on her costume is hand-crafted. The Mundia Collection "Reve de Porcelain " The Mundia Collection is a family run enterprise founded in 1949 in Paris. For the past 50 years, Mundia has been designing and producing bisque dolls of the highest quality, reflecting European culture as its main inspiration. To this day, Mundia is the only French manufacturer of collectors' porcelain dolls and some say their "masters of the art". The Costume designer Basis Zarzcka, designs for royalty and some of the biggest names in Hollywood. The Story The major inspiration for our dolls comes from the legendary French doll companies Jumeau and Bru who produced dolls in France between the 1860's through the early 1900's. Today Jemeau and Bru antique dolls are amongst the most sought after and expensive in the world. All dolls are crafted in double bisque porcelain from Limoges, France, which is where the French King's tableware was produced back in medieval times.
